AnnotationE-services have the potential to offer older people a range of valuable services, and there are some limited signs that older people are taking advantage of government initiatives to increase access. However, many older people do not see new technology such as the internet as relevant to them, preferring traditional channels of communication. This report examines the use of e-services by older people, using case studies to illustrate ways in which opportunities are being made for older people to access e-services. It also considers factors in the design, usability and accessibility of websites in ensuring that older people are able to use e-government services. Appendices include information on an accessibility audit of government websites, listing those audited. (RH).
