Annotation | Issues of care for older people with dementia are reviewed from a primary care perspective. The focus is on the problematic nature of the dementia for general practice and community nursing, as well as issues around patient and carer experience that in the view of the authors must be understood if the quality of care is to be improved. The authors also consider the division of labour between specialists and generalists that needs to be achieved to optimise service delivery. (RH). |
