Journal title | Community Care, no 1462, 6 March 2003 |
Pages | pp 40-41 |
Keywords | Informal care ; Services ; Evaluation ; Projects. |
Annotation | Support for carers could be improved even where resources are limited. An implicit aim of the Carers and Disabled Children Act 2000 is achieving" the outcomes the carer would want to see". The author reports on a project involving researchers and the Social Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of York, staff from Bradford social services, and carers of older people. The project aimed to enhance practice, while also finding useful ways of routinely collecting information on the impact of services on users' lives. (RH). |
