AnnotationVisual impairment is one of the most prevalent and disabling conditions that arises in later life, and yet very little research has been conducted that could inform the development of appropriate services. Thomas Pocklington Trust engaged researchers from University College London (UCL) and the University of Bristol to examine the housing and support needs of 400 visually impaired people aged 55+. This summarises the report's main findings, which also highlights needs with regard to social contact and inclusion, and for more accessible information. (RH).
