Annotation | Specialist domiciliary care for people with dementia is still regarded as a thing of the future. This article describes the main features of the specialist homecare service in Poole which was set up in 1998. Although there are other examples of excellent homecare services for older people with dementia, there is still a lack of such provision in many areas. Innovations in such services, and reasons why services are not being developed are outlined. (RH). |
