Annotation | This guest editorial outlines the purpose of the second World Assembly on Ageing, which was to revise and update the International Plan of Action, in particular bridging the developed and developing worlds. Given the problems highlighted of worldwide disease and poverty, the Assembly received little press coverage in the US. Consequently, the International Longevity Center conducted workshops for journalists to improve their understanding of issues emphasised during the Assembly. (RH). |
