Annotation | For professional actors, there is no "retirement age" as such - some actors continue to work well into their 70s and beyond. There are several good examples of septuagenarians still very much in demand as working actors. Others pursue their muse through years spent involved in amateur (or unpaid) dramatics - an association that many continue (or indeed, begin) in retirement years. This article describes the work of the Good Companions, a troupe of older unpaid actors based at Age Exchange. (KJ/RH). |
