Annotation | It is mistaken to think that intermediate care has to mean temporary admission to a care home. The Chief Executive of Hanover Housing Association argues that very sheltered accommodation could be a better option for provision. However, as intermediate care is both time limited and has to be free to the service user, this currently precludes sheltered housing providers. (RH). |
