Annotation | Previous inspections by SHAS of services for older people in the region were covered in reports on Caithness and Sutherland (1997) and the Southern Highlands (1999). This report outlines how those recommendations are being developed. It notes examples of good practice such as the involvement of patients and their carers in policy, planning and decision making. The report notes problems such as accommodation and delayed discharge from hospital. It recommends that developing joint working relationships and joint plans would help in alleviating these problems. (RH). |
