AnnotationThis is a summary of the Green Paper "Simplicity, security and choice: working and saving for retirement" (Cm 5677) published on 17 December 2002. It builds on the 1998 Green Paper "A new contract for welfare: partnership in pensions" (Cm 4179), and outlines proposals for better information, simpler pensions, simplified tax treatment, better protection for pension scheme members, more flexible retirement, and women and pensions take-up.
