Annotation | Since the economic reforms started in the 1970s, the levels of economic development and people's living conditions in China have improved substantially. Chinese people have begun to care more for their health and happiness, rather than just care whether they have enough food to eat, especially with older people. This paper discusses the perceived health and happiness of older Chinese people, and examines differences in these aspects by region, sex, age, race, education, marital status, and number of children. Logistic regression models with perceived health and happiness coded as binary variables are used for this purpose. (RH). |
