AnnotationThe strategy Ageing Well in Lewisham forms part of a set of plans and documents which together provide the vision and policy framework for promoting the well-being of the citizens of Lewisham. This document outlines six key strategic objectives: valuing older people; finance; health; a safe environment; lifelong learning; and relationships. Advocacy, information and communication, intergenerational activities, and an holistic approach were identified as cross-cutting themes during the strategy's development. The document also draws attention to the Better Government for Older People Programme (BGOP), the National Service Framework for Older People (NSF), and other initiatives that have a bearing on this strategy.
