| Annotation | This paper reviews developments in the employment, education and regulation of care and support workers from July 2001 until August 2002. It follows on from publication of "Future imperfect", the report of the King's Fund Care and Support Inquiry, which voiced concerns about a looming crisis in care services and called for action to avert it.
