AnnotationThe pilot aims to take a community development approach working with four communities in North Staffordshire, in gathering intelligence about the health beliefs of the 50 to 65 age group, and to identify, with local people, the most appropriate mechanisms to improve health after retirement. An emphasis will be placed on targeting the more disadvantaged members of these communities, including long term sick and unemployed, and those in low paid and unsecured employment. This report outlines activities in the first three months. (RH).
