Annotation | This leaflet explains the Government's annual winter fuel payments for people aged 60 or over, usually made each September. These payments are for each household that qualifies or per person if living in the same household and eligible for a payment. People must be aged 60 or over by the third week of each September. The amounts are usually increased each year, with the original payment starting at £50 but is currently £200 per household. Extra age-related payments begun to accompany this fuel payment in 2003. This guide is usually published in August of each year with the full details of payments to be made. (KJ). |
