Annotation | The author offers a perspective based on her experience both as an educator of adults, and as a gerontologist teaching first year medical students and social workers, while also researching older people's learning in the UK and elsewhere. Thinking about issues regarding health and social care provision for older people has led her to consider what role education and learning have to play in improving the delivery of health information and health education for older people. She is also interested in ways in which older people can acquire the necessary skills to make their voices heard. (RH). |
