AnnotationThe consultation concerns the content of a series of six guidance leaflets with the aim of helping those who support or care for adults who, due mental incapacity, are unable to make decisions for themselves. Each leaflet is aimed at a specific audience: relatives and carers; health professionals; social care professionals; legal practitioners; people with learning difficulties; and people wishing to plan for future incapacity. The guidance is informed by key principles, such as the right for all adults to make their own decisions, and must be assumed to have capacity to do so unless it is proved otherwise. (RH).
