| Annotation | This is the first time that ratings have been produced on the performance of adult and children social services by local councils. The ratings have been formulated from evidence from published performance indicators, inspection, Social Services Inspectorate (SSI) and Audit Commission Joint Reviews, review of plans and in-year performance information from both the SSI and the external auditors for each council. Future publication of ratings will be the responsibility of the proposed Commission for Social Care Inspection. (KJ/RH). |
