AnnotationA survey of more than 8,000 people aged 75+ in 23 general practices in Great Britain was undertaken as part of a trial of the assessment and management of the health of older people in the community. Analyses were undertaken of their quality of life in relation to their socio-economic position, for example housing tenure. Results show sufficient evidence of differences in chances of poor quality of life by socio-economic status to warrant concern. (RH).
