AnnotationPresents the Government's expenditure plans for the newly formed Department for Work and Pensions (established June 2001) in Great Britain over the next year. It also describes the objectives and targets of the welfare reform programme and the Department's wider activities. In April 2002, the Benefits Agency and the Employment Service were replaced by two new businesses: Jobcentre Plus and the Pension Service. The report is divided into five main parts. There is also an executive summary of the social security and employment programmes' expenditure plans.
