Annotation | The NHS Plan and the National Service Framework for Older People (NSF) both identify a need for health and social services to be culturally sensitive to the needs of people from Black and ethnic minority communities. To this end, the Older Adult Directorate of South Birmingham Mental Health NHS Trust has adopted an outreach and partnership approach, to engage with ethnic communities. The development of partnerships with established local care services has been a key factor in the success of the community outreach team in ensuring accessibility of mental health services. (RH). |
