Is care of the dying improving? the contribution of specialist and non-specialist to palliative care | Author(s) | Simon Fordham, Chris Dowrick |
Journal title | Family Practice, vol 16, no 6, 1999 |
Pages | pp 573-579 |
Keywords | Dying ; Terminal care ; Quality ; General practitioners ; Research Reviews. |
Annotation | A review of published research on the quality of care for dying patients indicates limited evidence of improvements in the care of selected cancer patients, and a dearth of evidence concerning patients dying from other, more common causes. The methods of research used to date are of limited current utility, and new methods are required. (OFFPRINT.) (RH). |
