AnnotationFor the first time, health and social care for older people could be provided by one body, instead of different public services. This consultation document sets out proposals to establish the Witham, Braintree and Halstead Care Trust on 1 October 2002. If successful, it would be one of the first such care trusts in the country, and would bring together services provided and commissioned by Braintree District Council, Essex Social Services, and local NHS organisations.
