Annotation | From 3 December 2001, the NHS in Wales will, for the first time, become responsible for paying for the nursing care of those paying their care home fees in full, and those who contribute towards the nursing element of their care under social services means-testing arrangements. From April 2003, the NHS in Wales also becomes responsible for nursing care of residents previously supported by local authorities.
