Annotation | The NHS Plan promised a review of consent procedures to ensure that good practice on seeking consent for both treatment and research is in place throughout the NHS. The Department of Health (DH) has published a "Reference guide: consent to examination or treatment" and a circular, HSC 2001/023, "Good practice in consent".
