Annotation | From 1 January 2002, the Financial Services and Markets Act (Regulated Activities) Order 2001 (SI 2001 no 544) affects all funeral plans sold from that date. The broad purpose is to ensure that money paid by the consumer to a funeral plan provider for providing a funeral in the future is kept safely and is available at the time required and in accordance with the plan specification.
