Annotation | The review notes the quality of staff in the Western Isles who work with people with mental health problems, and identifies examples of good practice including joint working and the JReach Project (a rural health initiative). Recommendations made in this report include: production of joint strategies (including provision of housing support, day care, respite care and carer support); developing outreach services by extending use of video links; reviewing funding to voluntary organisations; and providing safe travel arrangements for vulnerable patients.
