Annotation | Various influences have worked together to increase the life span, resulting in a large population of older people living in their own homes. A high risk of failing health in this burgeoning segment of the population presents a unique challenge to the health care system. The well-being, both physically and psychologically, of this population is of utmost concern for health care professionals. This article synthesises research on the well-being of older people living in the community, their perceptions of well-being, and the effects of interventions on well-being. (RH). |
