Annotation | Although a range of issues are covered in the National Service Framework (NSF), there are issues important to health which have not been adequately considered, including transport and housing. The framework also appears to be reliant on a medical model of health, which does not recognise the importance of older people in maintaining their health. Age Concern identifies 7 themes on which action must be taken for the NSF to succeed: age discrimination; involvement and representation; information; the experience of older people; consistency; measuring change; and capacity to deliver.
