AnnotationAdvocacy is the very ordinary process of standing up for the rights of others who are unfairly treated. This paper explores the role of advocacy in working towards creating more positive images of older people in society. The way in which advocacy is used to support the rights and best interests of the most vulnerable people in society is discussed in relation to inequality, ageism, those receiving Aged Care Services in Australia, and elder abuse.
