Annotation | The Health survey of England comprises a series of annual series, of which the 2000 survey is the tenth. The Health Survey series is part of an overall programme of surveys commissioned by the Department of Health (DH), and designed to provide regular information on various aspects of the nation's health. The main focus of the 2000 survey was on the health of older people, defined as age 65+, although the survey did include interviews with younger age groups. To deal fully with the chosen topic, the 2000 survey also included residents aged 65+ in residential care and nursing homes. This summary presents selected findings from the private household and care home samples. (RH). |
