Annotation | The Health survey of England comprises a series of annual series, of which the 2000 survey is the tenth. The Health Survey series is part of an overall programme of surveys commissioned by the Department of Health (DH), and designed to provide regular information on various aspects of the nation's health. This report is one of five topic reports for the 2000 survey, which for the first time looks at the health of older people resident in care homes. It provides a general overview of the characteristics of care homes in England, and of the sociodemographic and health profiles and social participation of residents aged 65+. (RH). |
