AnnotationThe Health survey of England comprises a series of annual series, of which the 2000 survey is the tenth. The Health Survey series is part of an overall programme of surveys commissioned by the Department of Health (DH), and designed to provide regular information on various aspects of the nation's health. The present survey focuses on the health of older people, and for the first time includes those in residential care homes. The survey comprises the following documents: The general health of older people and their use of health services; Disability among older people; Care homes and their residents; Psychosocial well-being among older people; Social capital and health; Methodology and documentation; and Summary of key findings.
