Annotation | This article reports on a two-part process to design and disseminate geriatric educational modules for use within US residency curricula. First, a 'train the trainer' approach was used to instruct expert geriatricians to systematically design the educational modules. Second, expert geriatricians, in consultation with instructional designers, subsequently developed ten geriatric educational modules that were pilot-tested, revised and duplicated for distribution to independent residency sites. As adult primary care residency sites have limited experienced geriatricians available to provide required instruction, this process represents one method to ensure primary care residents obtain necessary geriatric education.
