Annotation | Services for people with mental health problems in Ayrshire and Arran are among the best in Scotland, though some areas are highlighted for improvement. The report comments on the effectiveness of joint working, and users' and carers' satisfaction with service delivery. Key areas for improvement identified include: improvement of environment for patients in some rehabilitation and continuing care wards; reducing waiting times for all psychological treatments; formation of a general psychiatry multidisciplinary forum; and improving access to community-based mental health and social care.
