AnnotationThe anticipated demand for personal care by older disabled people in private households in Scotland is explored in research for the report "Providing free personal care for older people" commissioned by the Scottish Executive's Care Development Group (CDG). Also examined is the potential increase in demand that may arise from substitution effects (e.g. changing from informal to formal care services) due to the introduction of free personal care. These Research Findings summarise analyses of personal care use. (RH).
