Annotation | In this lecture, Lord Lester of Herne Hill QC called for a radical overhaul of existing anti-discrimination legislation, and for a single Equality Bill. A powerful and professional Equality Commission is required to promote equality, and to tackle all forms of discrimination, including age, as has successfully been introduced in Northern Ireland. The lecture heralds the start of a major campaign for Help the Aged on the issue of age discrimination and equality. (RH). |
