Annotation | Following an event in 1995 on the question, "How can we improve the well-being of older people in Newcastle upon Tyne?" the participants formed action groups, including one on housing. This report outlines the work of the Housing Group since 1995, illustrating how older people can continue to live independently in their own homes. It describes involvement in the Better Government for Older People (BGOP) pilot, and on work for the House for Life, adapting a real house to make it suitable for older people to live in. (RH). |
