Annotation | One consequence of the ageing of the US population is a steady increase in the proportion of older drivers. This growth is likely to gain momentum, considering that the generation currently approaching retirement is far more accustomed to having a car than previous generations. The over 65s of 2010 will probably drive more and to an older age than their parents' generation. Not only is the driving population changing, the car is also undergoing transformation with the introduction of new technologies and devices that are becoming available to drivers whatever their age.
