Annotation | The Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY), in identifying how the Service might survive, be maintained and improved, agreed to redesign its delivery. The author outlines the components of the resulting Service Delivery Model (SDM), the aims of which were to reduce service costs, enhance clinical quality and outcomes, and improve patient and staff satisfaction. Preliminary results suggest that efforts have begun to show improvements in outcomes. (RH). |
