Annotation | While younger people have tended to move away from rural areas, older people are less likely to do so. In the US, retirement migration has tended to favour rural areas, which are perceived as low expenditure areas. The likelihood is that the baby boom generation will move to rural areas as it approaches later middle age and retirement. (RH). |
