Annotation	Ithaca College, a private comprehensive college in upstate New York, and Longview, a residential community designed for older adults and operated by the Ithacare Center have entered into a unique partnership to promote intergenerational educational and social opportunities between the members of the two communities. This article outlines the extensive planning process used to ensure the success of the partnership, the initiatives implemented during the first full semester of programming and the initial outcomes of this preliminary phase.
