Annotation | Difficulties encountered by older people using the internet may have much to with age-related memory changes and their effects on learning. The author considers the effects of age associated memory impairment (AAMI), which is associated with damage to different areas of the brain such as the hippocampus or the frontal lobe, and impinges on our ability to learn new skills. Training methods should instead use aspects of memory less likely to be impaired by AAMI. (RH). |
