| Annotation | This circular informs councils with social services responsibilities of the new Regulations which came into force on 1 October 2001. This circular also acts as a reminder of the introduction of free nursing care from 1 October. The Annex to this circular gives fuller details; guidance on placing people in more expensive accommodation is given in Appendix 1 to the Annex; and the revised CRAG pages are given in Appendix 2.
