AnnotationEffective sampling methods are needed to recruit representative samples of underrepresented populations, such as Black female caregivers. This article reviews recruitment methods for rare populations. It also describes and evaluates a replicated probability sampling design to obtain a sample of Black female caregivers and non-caregivers in Cuyahoga County, Ohio (OH), for a longitudinal study focused on the cardiovascular responses of Black female caregivers.
