Annotation | A project team from the Bradford Dementia Group describes the challenge of providing culturally appropriate services to people with dementia from ethnic minority cultures. Three models of service provision for minority ethnic groups are discussed: assimilation and integration, multiculturalism, and anti-racism. The examples used illustrate the difficulties of adopting an approach that considers the needs of a multi-cultural society. (RH). |
