AnnotationThis annual replaces the full printed version of Scottish Health Statistics, now only available online. The aim of this publication is to provide an introduction, in A to Z form, to the wide variety of statistical information that is available on the health of Scotland's population and the work of the NHS in Scotland. There is one page on older people in Scotland. It briefly outlines the population, residential accommodation and the allocation of those in long term care into SHRUGs (Scottish Health Resource Utilisation Groups), which is a measurement of both dependency and need for care.
