Annotation | This collection of eight papers - first presented at the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) conference "Changing Priorities" in 1999 - offers a range of approaches to hearing users' views on dementia services. These range from how staff might begin to develop methods within their own projects, to how researchers and evaluators have sought the views of people with dementia. Contributions also cover: gathering views informally; what can be learnt from the field of learning difficulties; establishing a user group at day care; and using mutual support groups to understand service users' views. Some of the principles of person-centred planning are also presented. (RH). |
