AnnotationThis report was the first ever dietary and nutritional survey of a nationally representative sample of adults aged 16 to 64 in Great Britain. The aim was to provide a basis for the development of future food and health policy, and for measuring its success. This report presents only the initial findings of the National Diet and Nutrition Survey programme, with more analyses to follow. There is specific references to older people, especially in relation to quantities and variations of food consumed. (KJ).
