AnnotationThis Best Value Review was the first to be carried out across South Gloucestershire Council. It explored the need to provide a home care service via analysis of: patterns of service delivery and unit costs; wide consultation with users, home care staff and provider agencies; and the involvement of the executive councillor with portfolio responsibility for Social Care, Housing and Health. Recommendations are made on the basis that the quality of services was found to be "fair" and likely to improve. (RH).
